Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC)
The Michigan Economic Development Corporation is the state’s marketing arm and lead advocate for business development, talent and jobs, tourism, film, and digital media incentives, arts and cultural grants, and overall economic growth. The MEDC offers a number of business assistance services and capital programs for business attraction and acceleration, entrepreneurship, strategic partnerships, talent enhancement, and urban and community development.
The State Collaborative Development Council (CDC)
The State CDC has 17 members, each representing the 10 regions throughout the state, as well as the Michigan Economic Developer’s Association. These 10 regions were developed and defined by local partners in an effort to align state service providers. The goal of this alignment is to streamline services from statewide agencies, reduce duplication of outreach to communities and businesses, and better coordinate information and resource sharing among economic development professionals

MDARD – Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development
MDARD’s mission is to assure the food safety, agricultural, environmental, and economic interests of the people of the State of Michigan are met through service, partnership, and collaboration.
MDOT – Michigan Department of Transportation
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is a constitutional government agency in the US state of Michigan. The primary purpose of MDOT is to maintain the Michigan State Trunkline Highway System which includes all Interstate, US and state highways in Michigan with the exception of the Mackinac Bridge. Other responsibilities that fall under MDOT’s mandate include airports, shipping and rail in Michigan.
MI-SBTDC – Michigan Small Business and Technology Development Center
The Michigan Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) has four teams of consultants to provide services to Michigan’s existing, second stage, technology-based and start-up companies. The SBTDC provides a full range of services to second stage companies that includes not only strategic needs assessment (SNA) and market analysis but also ongoing strategy development, financial analysis and access to capital.
